Thanks, Rudder. I'm not planning on a mast, but I suppose I could hang a bed sheet off of my smoke stack! Wendell (Helge is all steel, 1/4" bottoms and 3/16" sides) |

Wendell, Terriffic Boat, my hat is off to you on your project. |

She sure looks good. I like the red hull. What is the material used for the hull and the pilot house? Keep plugging along: why, in two years' time you'll be sailing the main.

Ah, my mistake. It does look funky with the blue! They were made from blue tarps held in place by 3M's sealer tape kit. (a black tacky goo that never sets up) They held up against rain, wind and snow for a full year. Wendell |

Fantastic website and DD-38. I love all those brilliant innovations. My comment on the windows in an earlier message was based on their being blue. |

Thanks, Mel. I got my first computer, at George Buehler's recommendation, just a couple of years ago. I'm hooked! I've been working on Helge, part time, for more then six years now. When ever asked, I say "two more years". It has become the running joke among my friends... so I'll say to you, two more years to the launch. :^) Wendell |

Beautiful ship and website Wendell - great job on both.
How long do you think it will take you from start to finish before you launch? How soon do you expect to launch? Mel |
