Is there any Coot 35' owners out there?
I have been looking at the lines and value of this boat.
I'm interested to know;
As per the write up,is a great pocket cruiser & maybe the perfect boat if your plans include low cost safe "gunk-holing along our coast or explorng our great canals & rivers.
1.What about the open sea?
2.What are the limitations of a swell size and storm?
3.What can the Coot 35 be compared with in the trawler line? Grand Banks 36"?
4.We are living in Asia and will be port hopping. Still the John Deere should be ideal.
5. "Ducktalk is very good for owner and wharf walks alike.
Can someone please give pros & cons to assist in our final decision of boat to purchase.Cheers

I'm searching for info/feedback on coots 35. I wish to know does the mainsail actually give assistance? Do you think it is possible to have a low high bridge onto of the wheelhouse, without causing problems to the jib sail?

Maybe you can try at Capital yachts

or Sea Horse marine directly to get a answer to your question

Yes, it's not a Duck - so wrong site. But it is built by Bill and Stella - so close enough.

I mused about outside steering when I crawled over the first Coots at the yard about 8 years ago. Stella thought that one was not necessary - but I'm sure if you specify it, it can be done.

The rig on the Coot that's (I think) still for sale in Hong Kong will help drive the boat forward, any rig will. But its primary purpose is stability.

Direct your questions to Seahorse and you're sure to get better answers.
