Hi, Robert. I like the idea of a spring drive starter motor. I'm going to look into that. Instead of an alternator repair kit, I upgraded to a larger Balmar and kept the old Delco as a spare. -Wendell

Bill Kimley has a supplier for the starter in the UK I am buying a second Balmer MC624 for plug and play replacement. While the Leece Neville alternators have integral taper charge regulators, I am removing these and using the Balmer. One could re&re the LN for a spare but plug and play is so simple and the Balmer is not too expensive.
