Right on, John, We are very busy over here and I have been neglecting DuckTalk. Ducks all over the place. 4622 and 4624 at the dock. 4625 about ready for launching. 4626, ketch rigged, for Australian explorers Don and Margie McIntyre, is in the paint booth. Four more 462's, five 382's, two Coots and the first 462 Sedan on the floor. Pictures below of 4622 (blue) waiting for 4624 (brown) to buddy boat with across the ocean. Not sure which one yet. Note our first flybridge on 4625 (green). She also has teak decks, a real beauty. These pictures are in the first PhotoAlbum, below.

I’ve seen a picture of a 55Ft Diesel Duck wheelhouse with a spiral companionway to the starboard side. This seems like a nice layout with more room for flat panel monitors to be mounted at the helm. Is this layout still offered? I believe the wheelhouse was on a 55 Diesel Duck. Any plans to build a 55 in Steel? Capt. Mark Niefer

Mark, There is a steel SHM DD-551 Amadeus built for Carl and Kim Staub which I believe lies at Seattle. There are no online pictures of it's galley/saloon that I can find. And there is an aluminium 55 Idlewild built for Ben Gray by Reyse Marine, Surrey BC, Canada. It recently completed a wild circumnavigation and is for sale for $CDN 500K. Pictures at http://www.idlewildexpedition.ca cheers, drassel

John and all: DD 562, 58' long, plans almost done. DD-382 is on our YachtWorld site now. Five under-construction, three sold. Three more orders arrived for the DD 462 Sedan. Starting hulls 2 through 5 soon. Number 1, Hugh Palmer, approaching the paint shop. I'll try to get the Sedan on the site soon. 4622, Dave and Dorothy Nagel, 4624, Dave and Jamie Fritsch, and 4625, Ruth and Randal Johnson, will buddy boat to Subic Bay early next year. And there are some negotiations going on for five DD-682's, 71' long, for a European charter company.

Bill K: In response to your note above about the 682's for a charter company --- any chance of seeing some drawings/layouts??? Sounds like an impressive boat! West P.
