| After months of planning, weeks of accumulating pumps, valves, fittings, hoses, clamps, stainless steel tank, and days of installation the system is up and running. With 90 connections I had only two small leaks which were easy to fix. The system basically allows me to pump old oil out of and new oil into the main engine, gen-set, the engine bypass filter, and the gen-set bypass filter individually. I installed a bypass filter on each engine and an oil level sight glass on the main. I first intalled the sight glass oil pan connection and the GCF bypass filter reurn to the same tee welded to the oil plug but the pressure from the returning oil forced the sight glass level up. Fortunately the JD oil pan has two plugs so I rerouted the return line to another plug and now it works fine. |
