Plug for the galley exhaust fan. Water has come in my vent and burned up my exhaust fan twice already so I designed this plug that can be activated from inside the boat in three tenth of a second. Faster if you're sinking.
The stainless steel duct came with the boat but the ball, which I searched for for months came from pet store and is a dogs chew toy that I cut in half. It is heavy rubber and 1/4 inch thick.

(Sort of modified by Bill Kimley to include Randal's pictures. To bad the neat looking ball is out of site!)

Don
In one of my comments that was lost before I could post it, I stated: "Not all of us were as smart as Don who had all the vents moved up to the pilothouse" I still wish my boat had been after yours instead of before it.
By the way, I know the pictures are not loading and Bill and I are trying to fix it.
