Plug for the galley exhaust fan. Water has come in my vent and burned up my exhaust fan twice already so I designed this plug that can be activated from inside the boat in three tenth of a second. Faster if you're sinking.
The stainless steel duct came with the boat but the ball, which I searched for for months came from pet store and is a dogs chew toy that I cut in half. It is heavy rubber and 1/4 inch thick. (Sort of modified by Bill Kimley to include Randal's pictures. To bad the neat looking ball is out of site!) |

Hey ..my plug is 6mm chinese steel on the galley vent and the aft head vent...did not cut the hole...vents to the deck instead...!! but I always like your system fixes??

In one of my comments that was lost before I could post it, I stated: "Not all of us were as smart as Don who had all the vents moved up to the pilothouse" I still wish my boat had been after yours instead of before it. By the way, I know the pictures are not loading and Bill and I are trying to fix it. Randal |
